Project Description/Goals
- To design my own travel brand and demonstrate an ability to grow an audience through the use of short-form video
- Grow the brand organically, without the use of paid ads of any kind – focusing instead on providing value and information for families interested in traveling to unique destinations
Creative Process & Strategy
- Conducted market research regarding the travel industry. Found that many followers wanted more information about locations then the current market’s posts were providing.
- Research indicated that most successful videos were 30 seconds long. Wrote compelling scripts regarding viral video topics answering questions many had regarding tourist destinations (Where it was, history of location, cost, etc.)
- Focused on my strength of writing copy by building a personal brand voice that incorporated light humor and hooked viewer interest. Opted for quantity over quality by researching, scripting, editing, and posting videos every day.
